FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Gneta and how it works with your Garmin data.
What is Gneta?
Gneta is an AI-powered training dashboard for Garmin athletes. It syncs your Garmin data and uses AI to give you personalized coaching, recovery insights, and performance analytics — all in one place.
How do I connect my Garmin watch?
After creating a free account, enter your Garmin Connect credentials. Gneta securely connects to Garmin Connect and syncs your entire training history automatically. Your credentials are encrypted at rest.
Which Garmin watches are supported?
Every Garmin watch that syncs with Garmin Connect is supported — Forerunner (55, 165, 265, 965), Fenix (6, 7, 8), Enduro, Venu, Instinct, Edge cycling computers, and more.
Is Gneta free?
Yes. Gneta is completely free to use. You get full Garmin sync, AI coaching, dashboard, recovery tracking, power analytics, and unlimited workout history with no credit card required.
How is Gneta different from Garmin Connect?
Garmin Connect shows you raw data across dozens of screens. Gneta consolidates everything into a single dashboard and adds an AI coach that reads your actual numbers to give specific, actionable advice — not generic tips.
What data is synced from Garmin?
Gneta syncs activities (running, cycling, swimming, strength, hiking), daily health summaries (heart rate, HRV, sleep stages, stress, body battery, SpO2, respiration), and fitness metrics (VO2 max, training load, training readiness).
How does the AI coach work?
The AI coach is powered by Claude (Anthropic). It reads your real training data — weekly volume, heart rate trends, HRV baseline, power numbers, sleep quality — and answers your questions with specific, data-backed recommendations.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your data is stored securely in an encrypted database. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Garmin credentials are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption.
Can I use Gneta for cycling?
Absolutely. Gneta supports full cycling power analytics including Normalized Power (NP), Training Stress Score (TSS), Intensity Factor (IF), FTP tracking, and power curves. The AI coach understands cycling-specific training.
Can I use Gneta for triathlon training?
Yes. Gneta syncs running, cycling, and swimming data. You can track training volume across all three sports, monitor recovery between sessions, and get AI coaching that understands multi-sport training demands.
What is body battery?
Body Battery is a Garmin metric (0-100) that estimates your energy reserves based on HRV, stress, sleep, and activity. Gneta tracks your body battery trend and uses it to help determine when you are ready to train hard.
Does Gneta support running power?
Yes. If your Garmin watch records running power data, Gneta syncs and displays it. The AI coach can factor running power into training recommendations alongside pace and heart rate.
How often does Gneta sync with Garmin?
Gneta syncs when you log in or manually trigger a sync. Your latest activities and daily summaries are pulled from Garmin Connect automatically. New workouts typically appear within minutes of syncing your watch.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, all personal information, activity data, health summaries, AI analyses, and goals are permanently removed.
Does Gneta work on mobile?
Yes. Gneta is a progressive web app (PWA) that works in any mobile browser. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience on iOS and Android — no app store download needed.
